Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum were arguably one of America’s favorite (and most attractive) couples ever— which is why fans were shocked and saddened when the two announced their split earlier this year.
Now, Jenna is opening up about the moves she’s making now that she’s on her own and how she and Channing are moving forward and co-parenting their daughter, Everly.
“The moves I’m making are completely not related to my marriage or separation, interestingly enough. I was always very happy being a wife,” she said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “‘Who are you? What do you want to give to the world? What excites you?’ Those feelings started bubbling up for me, naturally… so I really wanted to expand my life, and myself.”
When asked about how she feels about the road ahead, Jenna said she’s excited.
“I feel a sense of joy and freedom and excitement, truly, about a new chapter in my life. And I have no attachments to how that’s going to look, or what that’s going to be. I feel really open, and I feel hopeful.”
She says that she and Channing are doing everything they can to keep their daughter happy and healthy throughout the process.
“We’re just getting used to it. We’re in a very positive energy together, trying to be the best parents to Everly. We support each other.”
