After a week that had the Jonas Brothers doing everything from “Carpool Karaoke” to hilarious spoofs of their own hits, the brotherly trio ended their triumphant run on The Late Late Show with James Corden with the first television performance of their new song “Sucker.”
The brothers, decked out in duds that fit their individual styles, entered the stage atop rolling boxes. Each box was on wheels, so the dancers could easily rearrange the bros as they performed their hit.
And the performance, which aired on Thursday (March 7,) just might have made the song a certified hit.
On Monday (March 11,) all of the Jonas Brothers headed to their respective social media pages to celebrate the fact that their first song in six years had found its way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 in it’s debut week.
“This is unbelievable,” Nick Jonas wrote on his Instagram page. “My heart is so full of gratitude. There was a time I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to be able to make music with my brothers again, let alone have a number 1 song on the Hot 100 on Billboard. Thank you to every single person who downloaded, streamed and listened to Sucker on the radio. This still feels like a dream, and the best part is is that it’s just the beginning of this incredible new chapter.”
What’s even cooler is that “Sucker” is now the Jonas Brothers’ first ever number one hit on the Hot 100.
