On September 11, 2003, beloved actor John Ritter passed away from heart complications. At the time, he was the star of a hit show, “8 Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughter,” in which he co-starred alongside Kaley Cuoco.

The show went on after his death, shortening its name to “8 Simple Rules,” and writing in that John’s character, Paul Hennessy, had collapsed in the grocery store while buying milk and passed away.

Kaley, who later went on to find success with “The Big Bang Theory,” has always been very candid about the grief surrounding the loss of her TV dad— even 15 years later.

“15 years .. love you forever, John,” Kaley posted on Instagram along with a photo of her leaving a kiss at his Hollywood Star. “You still make me laugh every single day.”
