Days after announcing the passing of her mother, Maggie, Kathy Griffin is sharing the news that she has been hit with the coronavirus.

In a post on Instagram, Kathy shared a photo of herself with a ventilation mask in the isolation ward of a hospital. She also shared a quote from President Donald Trump that read, “Just reported that the United States has done far more “testing” than any other nation, by far! Kathy had a response for the President. “He’s lying,” she began. “I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms. The hospital couldn’t test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions. #TESTTESTTEST ‬.”

Kathy has been known for her dislike of the President. In 2017, she posted a video of herself holding a President Donald Trump lookalike mask of a bloody severed head and she shared the video on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, causing major backlash. She has continued to be n outspoken critic of the President throughout his time in office.

Prior to her diagnosis, Kathy posted about the virus calling it the #TrumpPenceMcConnellCoronavirus.
