Comedian Kevin Hart is recovering from major injuries sustained in a car accident in Calabasas, California on Sunday (September 1.) According to Entertainment Tonight, Hart is said to be ‘recovering and feeling ok’ following surgery on his back. Currently, he remains in the hospital recovering from his injuries.
“He’s great,” Hart’s wife Eniko told TMZ on Monday (September 2.) “He’s going to be just fine. He’s good. Everybody’s good, thank God.”

Hart was a passenger in a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda alongside driver Jared S. Black and passenger Rebecca Broxterman in the early morning hours of Sunday morning when Black lost control of the vehicle, rolling down the embankment after leaving the road. According to police, Hart left the scene and ended up at his nearby residence and received medical attention. Black and Broxterman were briefly trapped in the vehicle, with Black suffering major back injuries.
“Stop messing with my emotions brother Kevin Hart,” friend Dwayne ‘The Rock” Johnson said on his Instagram page following the accident alongside a picture of the two on the set of their 2017 movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. “We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong.”
