Kim Goldman is remembering her big brother Ron Goldman on his 51st birthday with a loving note to the man who was taken too soon from her life.
Ron Goldman was murdered 25 years ago on June 12, 1994 with Nicole Brown Simpson shortly before his 26th birthday. Now, 25 years later and on what would have been his 51st birthday, Kim is sending her love.
In a post on Facebook, Kim opens up about the loss of her brother and their short time together.
“Happy Birthday to my big brother,” she wrote. “You would have turned 51 today – just insane to think about all of the years lost, absolutely breaks my heart. The what-if’s torture my spirit, so instead I will focus on your smile, your zest for life, your kindness, the memories of us growing up, our talks, our laughs, our tears … I will focus on the tremendous adoration and respect I have for you and I will hold on dearly to the memory of what your hugs felt like, cuz I sure could use one. All the love in the world, xo Squirt.”
Ron may have been at the wrong place at the wrong time back in 1994 when he went to Nicole Brown Simpson’s house in Brentwood California, to return a pair of sunglasses she had left at the restaurant he was working at. Both Ron and Nicole were brutally murdered by an unknown assailant.
Nicole’s ex-husband and football player O.J. Simpson was arrested and tried for the murders. He was found not guilty in 1995 by a jury of his peers. The trial divided the country across race lines and many still believe that O.J. was involved in the murders. The Goldman family later filed a civil suit against O.J. where he was found liable for the wrongful death and battery against Goldman, and battery against Nicole Brown.
