There comes a time in almost every mother’s life that you find yourself frantically driving to the local emergency room with one of your kids. And yes, the time has come for actress Kristen Bell.
On Thursday (August 22,) Bell shared an Instagram post of her and her daughter getting medical care for a busted up finger.
“First emergency room visit.,” she wrote alongside a pic of her and a very sad looking little one, whose face was covered up by an emoji. “One hairline fracture and a finger smushed so hard in the door it popped like a jelly donut.”
A little too much information Kristen…but yeah, we get it.
“Thank you to all who helped my baby, she added. “I’m not attaching a pic of the finger because there was literally burger popping out all over and it as pretty gross.”

First emergency room visit. One hairline fracture and a finger smushed so hard in the door it popped like a jelly donut. Thank you so much to @childrensla for the amazing care, thank u Dr. Olsen, and Sonia our child life specialist. Did you know that when you enter the emergency room at @childrensla you immediately get a "Child Life Specialist" trained to make sure your child knows what happening? And to make sure you understand all of what's happening and your choices? It made us feel so safe. And @childrensla follows up the next day with a phone call to make sure all is well after the trauma. Excellent care all around. Thank you to all who helped my baby. (Ps I'm not attaching a pic of the finger because there was literally burger popping out all over and it as pretty gross.)
The obviously nervous mommy also gave a shout out to the hospital staff, who helped alleviate as much fear as they could about the injury and even followed up the next day to make sure everything was alright. Fans will recall that Bell has two kids with husband Dax Shepard – 4-year-old Delta and 6-year-old Lincoln.
Kristen’s celebrity friends were quick to offer their support in the comment section of her post.
“Aw pal- so sorry for her! Also thanks for not including a pic of the finger because I def would’ve look 🙏,” actor Justin Long wrote.

“I’m so sorry. That’s so scary,” added Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Aww buddy! Feel better soon. 😢,” replied Evan Rachel Wood.
Here’s to hoping everyone feels a whole lot better very soon!
