One of Hollywood’s most favorite couples, Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, will be celebrating their five-year wedding anniversary come October, but it’s what Bell did when they first started dating back in 2007 that has us melting.
During a confession on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday (Aug. 8,) Bell spoke about just how far she went to catch the eye of the actor, eventually enrolling in a class to learn how to ride a motorcycle.
“You know when you’re in the beginning of a relationship, you want to seem way more normal—especially me, I wanted to seem way more normal than I actually was,” she explains to the talk show host. “He loves motorcycles. I really wanted him to think that I also loved motorcycles a lot and so when we first started dating I decided to get my motorcycle license. I was like, ‘I got it. I’m going to show him how cool I am.'”
Unfortunately for Bell, her rather limited knowledge of motorcycle riding nearly backfired for her on the set of the couple’s film “When in Rome,” when she sustained a bad burn on her leg from riding the motorcycle.
“My goal was to bag Dax Shepard, Jimmy,” she laughed.
And yes Kristen, we totally get it.
