After 10 years together, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus tied the knot in a surprise ceremony on Dec. 23 in Australia. And now the hunky actor is hitting the red carpet and talking about life after the wedding.
When asked by E! News on the red carpet how it feels to have a ring on now, Liam revealed he’s loving it.
“It’s great, the ring fits. It’s great. It’s an awesome thing to go through. We’ve been together a long time and felt like it was the right time to do it.”
But is their relationship any different now that they are married?
“Yes and no,” Liam said. “It’s same but different. The relationship changes but I guess you have the husband and wife thing. I’m loving it. I’m really, really happy and grateful to be in the position I’m in.”
Prior to their wedding, Liam and Miley experienced a tragic event when the wildfires in California burned down their house. Miley confirmed the devastating news saying she was “one of the lucky ones” as her pets and loved ones made it out safely. Liam later shared a photo of the devastation.
The couple still have not rebuilt their home yet, but Liam reveals that they will be fine.
“We’re going through the process. We haven’t started rebuilding yet,” Liam reveals. “Eventually, I think we will. We’re fine. I was saying to someone else, ‘we’re a lot better off than some of my friends in Malibu who didn’t have insurance on their house or anything like that.’ We’re fine. It sucks, it’s a shitty thing to go through but we’re fine. We’re doing good.”
