Michael Bublé is experiencing a rebirth of sorts both professionally and personally. Not only did he recently release his tenth studio album, but he is also celebrating the fact that his 5-year-old son Noah is now cancer free. But yes, it still hurts.

“It sucks,” Bublé told Today while discussing his son’s battle with liver cancer, which began back in 2016. “We’ve gone through so many hard times and we’ve dealt with this, and I’ve had to now answer the questions, that it’s so much fun for me to be able to sort of not look back at the past, and to look forward to the future and be excited about life for our family and my boy and everything. I just wanted to get away and get focused on the good stuff.”

Luckily, he and his wife Luisana Lopilato are now getting to do just that, as they celebrate the fact that they now are the parents of three happy and healthy children.

“You learn a lot about life and what’s important and what matters, and you stop sweating the small stuff because you realize that most of the stuff is the small stuff,” he said.
