Miley Cyrus Gives Rousing Performance of “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” [Watch]


Miley Cyrus recently teamed up with Mark Ronson for his latest single “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart.” The lead track off his upcoming album Late Night Feelings, Ronson penned the song with Miley, Ilsey Juber, Thomas Brenneck, The Picard Brothers, and Conor Rayne Syzmanski.

In a new Vevo performance, Miley and Mark perform “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” together at the historic Electric Lady Sound Studio in Greenwich Village, New York City. Backed by a string section, bassist and percussionist, the song comes alive with Miley’s distinct vocals.

This world can hurt you / It cuts you deep and leaves a scar / Things fall apart, but nothing breaks like a heart,” she croons on the chorus.

Well known in the pop and country world, Miley has also been impressing rock audiences with her countless collaborations. Recently, she shared the stage with Chris Cornell’s former band Temple of the Dog during the “I Am the Highway” tribute concert to the late singer on Jan. 16 in California.

Miley received a rousing response for her riveting cover of Temple of the Dog’s “Say Hello 2 Heaven.” Channeling her inner rock star, Miley owned the stage with her distinct vocals while backed by Temple of the Dog. Earlier in the evening, she covered Chris’ “As Hope and Promise Fade” to the sold-out crowd. The song was featured on Cornell’s 2011 album Songbook, and Miley made the tender ballad her own in front of the crowd of heavy rock fans.
