Actor Milo Ventimiglia has always seemed like a stand-up guy always willing to speak his truth. But could he do it during the infamous Vanity Fair lie detector test?
The short answer is, yes.
Indeed, the This is Us actor faced his share of uncomfortable questions during the test, including his crying habits and just what he would do to get into a Madonna concert. But things got really uncomfortable when he was asked whose music he liked better – his fellow California native Gwen Stefani or his This is Us co-star Many Moore.
“I grew up listening to a lot of Gwen Stefani and No Doubt and I really didn’t listen to Mandy Moore’s songs,” he said as the lie detector began to take note of his nervousness. “I was familiar with Mandy but I didn’t really listen to her. But the Emmy-nominated Mandy Moore the actress is phenomenal. I love Mandy.”
Whew! He got out of that one nicely.
The test was part of a media blitz that Ventimiglia has found himself on as of late as he promotes his new movie The Art of Racing in the Rain, which also stars Kevin Costner as he voices the movie’s beloved dog. The 42-year-old also starred in shows such as Heroes and Gilmore Girls earlier in his career.
