Little Emeline Grier should have been outside this summer, playing with her brothers and sisters and making her parents smile. But instead, the daughter of skiing legend Bode Miller and his wife Morgan is not here.
She is in heaven.
In fact, it’s been two years since Emeline lost her life when she was just 19 months old as a result of a drowning accident in the family pool. And for Morgan, the pain seems to still be unbearable.

“How has it already been two years?” wrote Morgan on her Instagram Story on Tuesday (June 9), alongside a picture of Emeline pushing a baby carriage. “Today was the last day I heard you say mama. Today was the last day we walked hand-in-hand. Today was the last day … I miss you.”

In another Instagram story, Morgan posted a video of her and Bode teaching their 7-month old sons how to swim.
“Your brothers turned 7 months yesterday,” Morgan wrote on her snapshot. “You would have loved being their big sister Earth side.”

Morgan later shared video of her twin boys crying in the pool as they learn how to swim. Above the video, Morgan writes, “I would give ANYTHING… to hear her cry.”
Indeed, the couples twin boys, who arrived this past November, have certainly been a bright spot in the life of Bode and Morgan as they continue to mourn the loss of their baby girl.
