Finally, the decision has been made! Out of the many prospects, “Glee” star and singer extraordinaire Lea Michele has officially landed the coveted role as Ariel in a live rendition of The Little Mermaid in honor of the movie’s 30th anniversary. The Hollywood Bowl is reportedly bringing a live production of the film for two days only.

This news has confused a one Lindsay Lohan, who has never been shy about her desire to star as the Disney princess. When the Disney Princess Instagram account announced Lea’s role in the production, Lindsay only had one word to say about it, “Huh?”

Lea Michele is more than prepared for the role; she has not only starred as Rachel Berry on Glee, but she acted in multiple Broadway productions. For The Little Mermaid, Lea will sing all of the hit songs from the infamous film as it plays on the screen.

Lea will have a little help from Leo Gallo (Prince Eric), Harvey Fierstein (Ursula), and Ken Page (Sebastian.) Each of these actors will help set the stage and tell an iconic story.

Celebrating the film’s 30th anniversary, the live production will feature animated “living scenery” that both director and co-producer Richard Kraft calls a “game changer.” The production will feature our most favorite songs from the soundtrack, such as “Kiss the Girl”, “Under the Sea” and “Part of Your World”.

Taking place over two days, the performance will be at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles during May 17th and 18th.
