There is no slowing Richard Gere down when it comes to baby-making!

The acclaimed actor is set to be a father again thanks to the news that he and wife Alejandra Silva are expecting their second child. According to People magazine, the 70-year-old actor is set to welcome the couple’s second child just months after Silva gave birth to their first child, Alexander, back in February.

These two aren’t wasting any time, are they?

Gere and Silva were married back in 2018 after knowing each other for many years. Gere is already the father of a 19-year-old son from a previous marriage. Silva also is mom to a 6 ½ year old son, also from a previous marriage.

“(Gere has been much happier) in this half of his life because he is settled, confident and doing what he likes,”a source tells People about the Pretty Woman actor.

And professionally, he seems to have always followed this carefree philosophy.

“My career has never been thought out,” he said in a 2017 interview. “I never engineered a career. I just have always done whatever I wanted. You’re restricted by what you’re offered… but the incredible list of brilliant directors and actors and writers I’ve worked with, you know I’m kind of amazed myself that I’ve been able to ride this career this long with such good people.”

Congratulations to the happy couple .
