Netflix recently released the trailer for their latest crime film The Highwaymen and it looks intense. Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson join forces to co-star in the movie based on the untold true story of the pursuit of Bonnie & Clyde.
The film follows two Texas Rangers, Frank Hamer (Costner) and Maney Gaultas (Harrelson), hired to track down and apprehend notorious criminals Bonnie and Clyde.
“You’ve come to the wrong place mister. Around here Clyde is king,” says one criminal to Maney.
“Clyde might be king but I’m a Texas Ranger you little s**t,” Maney replies.
And that just about sums up the feel of the flick.
The official synopsis says, “‘The Highwaymen’ follows the untold true story of the legendary detectives who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. When the full force of the FBI and the latest forensic technology aren’t enough to capture the nation’s most notorious criminals, two former Texas Rangers (Costner and Harrelson) must rely on their gut instincts and old school skills to get the job done.”
The Highwaymen also stars Kathy Bates as “Ma” Ferguson, John Carroll Lynch, Kim Dickens, Thomas Mann and William Sadler.
The Highwaymen is scheduled to debut on Netflix on March 29, 2019.
