Renée Zellweger Heads to Television in Sexy and Sultry Netflix Thriller “What/If” [Watch]


Renee Zellweger is heading to television and we couldn’t be more excited. The “Bridget Jones Diary” actress will star in the Netflix original What/If and the trailer promises a sexy, sultry thriller.

The first look trailer kicks off at a glamorous party with Renée supplying the voiceover to ask the one question…What if?”

“What if I made you an offer too extraordinary to refuse for anything and anyone to be yours for the taking,” Renée says. “The players are all arranged. What would you risk for a chance to have it all.”

This will be Renée’s first foray into starring in a 10-episode television series, written by Mike Kelley (“Revenge,” “Swingtown”) In this neo-noir thriller series, Netflix describes the premise as “a pair of cash-strapped newlyweds accept a lucrative but morally dubious offer from a mysterious female benefactor.”

Renée plays the powerful venture capitalist Ann Montgomery, who presents the lucrative offer to a the cash-strapped San Francisco newlyweds, Lisa, played by Jane Levy and Sam, played by Blake Jenner.

Also joining Renée in the series will be Louis Herthum (Westworld),  Samantha Ware (Glee), Keith Powers (Straight Outta Compton), Daniella Pineda (The Detour), Juan Castano, John Clarence Stewart (Luke Cage) and Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters).

What/If starring Renée Zellweger premieres May 24, only on Netflix.
