“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” she wrote in one post.

Minaj and Kenneth “Zoo” Petty began dating in December 2018, after meeting when they only 17 years old. Nicki’s new husband had some past troubles with sexual predatory behavior.

In 1995, Petty, who was 16 at the time, was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree for a 1994 incident involving a 16-year-old. He was sentenced to 18 to 54 months in prison.

Minaj addressed the incident on social media saying, ” “He was 15, she was 16 … in a relationship. But go awf Internet. Y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life. Thank you boo.”

The couple later announced that they had married in October 2019.

In a post on Instagram, Minaj shared the happy news with a short video.

“Keeping it simple, she wrote on the post . “👰🏽🤵🏽😢🙏🏽🎀  Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty 10•21•19.” Nicki’s real name is Onika Tanya Maraj. After marrying Petty, she hyphenated her name. Even changing her Twitter name to Mrs. Petty.

The baby news comes after Minaj announced that she would be retiring from the music business to focus on having a family.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,” she wrote on Twitter.

She later deleted that Tweet and tried to clear up the message of retirement.

“I’m still right here,” she wrote to a Twitter follower who was begging for more information about this supposed retirement. “Still madly in love with you guys & you know that. In hindsight, this should’ve been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe.”

Congratulations to the happy couple.
