Nic Cage may not have gotten the annulment he wanted just four days after marrying Erika Koike in Las Vegas, but the actor has been granted a divorce three months later.
Back in March, Nicolas Cage married his fourth wife Erika in a drunken Las Vegas ceremony. However, four days later the actor changed his mind and filed for annulment claiming the marriage was based on fraud. You don’t say? TMZ had previously obtained the annulment documents where it was revealed that Nic said the couple was wasted when they decided to get married and the marriage was a fraud because she didn’t disclose “the full nature and extent of her relationship with another person.”
While Erika disagreed with Nic, she filed for divorce and spousal support. Koike claimed that her reputation has suffered since the breakup. She also wanted her legal fees paid by Cage. Yep, spousal support after four days of marriage.
After all that, TMZ is reporting that the couple is officially divorced. According to court records that were obtained by TMZ, the judge granted their divorce on Friday, May 31. Now, Nic is free to marry for a fifth time if he so chooses.
Nic wed actress Patricia Arquette in 1995, divorcing in 2001. Nic’s second marriage was to Elvis Presley’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley in 2002. They filed for divorce a few months later and it became finalized in 2004. His third marriage was to waitress Alice Kim, with whom he shares his only child, Kal-El. The two were married in 2004 and were divorced in 2017. His fourth marriage to Eriks Koike is now in the books.
Onward and upward.
