Sometimes, it’s easy to still look at Prince Harry and Prince William and see them as two rambunctious kids being wrangled by their late mother Princess Diana.
But alas, these two have grown up.
And yes, that means its time for them to make their own decisions.

According to a statement released on Thursday (June 20,) Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are officially leaving The Royal Foundation, a joint charity that they worked on alongside Prince William and wife Kate Middleton.
“Later this year The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,” the statement read. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation. In addition, both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together.”
And while it might be easy to assume that this major development means there is discord in the royal family, experts say that this latest news is really nothing to get too upset about.
“I think this is all about them pursuing different trajectories,” Katie Nicholl, the author of Harry and Meghan: Life, Loss, and Love, tells Time magazine. “While they might be sentimental about the whole thing, they also have to be pragmatic, and this makes sense.”
