R. Kelly Explodes During Interview with Gayle King— “You’re All Trying to Kill Me”

R. Kelly is in some hot water and the heat seems to be getting to him. In an interview with CBS this Morning’s Gayle King, R.Kelly denies accusations of sexual abuse of minors and explodes mid-interview.

Kelly sat down for the interview following new charges, where he was arrested and is currently being charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.

“People are going back to my past and they trying to add all of this stuff now to that. To make all the stuff going on now feel real to people,” R.Kelly said in the interview.

When the fact that his past with underage girls is relevant to the case, the awards winning singer couldn’t disagree more.

“I beat my case. When you beat something, you beat it. You can’t double jeopardy me like that. It’s not fair. It’s not fair to nobody. When you beat your case you beat your case,” he said.

The past that Gayle and R.Kelly were referring to was when the singer was charged and tried for child pornography in 2002, based on videos that allegedly depicted him engaging in unlawful sex acts with minors. He was acquitted of all charges.

As the interview went on, Kelly got heated and started crying and screaming about the whole situation.

“Y’all are killing me with this s***,” he raged looking at the camera. “I gave you thirty years of my career. Thirty years of my career. And you’re all trying to kill me. You’re killing me man. This is not about music. I’m trying to have a relationship with my kids and I can’t do it. Y’all just don’t want to believe the truth. You don’t want to believe it.”

Kudos to Gayle for remaining calm during the outburst. More accusations and charges have surfaced following the the Lifetime documentary, Surviving R. Kelly, which aired earlier this year, showing R.Kelly’s alleged victims speaking about the ongoing sexual abuse.

After calming down a bit, the singer went on to deny all the allegations against him. “Quit playing, I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my F***in’ life.”
