“This week’s #Riverdale is the last episode Luke filmed,” Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of Perry on the set of the much-loved show. “As always, Fred’s imparting words of wisdom to Archie. A beautiful, true moment between a father and his son. Wish these scenes could go on forever…”

Fans will recall that Perry played the role of Fred Andrews, father of the main character Archie Andrews. And while Wednesday’s episode (April 24) of Riverdale will be the last one in which Perry will appear, it is still unknown how he will exactly be written out of the show.

“You know, honestly, we are I think all still in shock and are all still processing and grieving,” Aguirre-Sacasa admitted back in March to People magazine. “We know that we have to address it in some way, but we’re giving ourselves a little bit of time and space before we figure out the best way to honor him.”

Luke’s final episode of Riverdale is set to air Wednesday, April 24 at 8 p.m. ET.
