Set to star in the new movie “First Man,” Ryan Gosling has been spending many hours hard at work on set. And yes, his absence has gotten his daughters a tad perplexed.
“They came to set and they came on this day where I was shooting a launch scene,” Gosling recently told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel of his two daughters with his gorgeous wife Eva Mendes. “So I was in the space suit and pretending to launch. I think they think I’m an astronaut now.”
In fact, he really has his oldest seemingly convinced that he actually is an astronaut.
“My oldest said the other day, she pointed to the moon and she was like, ‘That’s where you work, right?’ Gosling laughs during the episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live about his firstborn daughter Esmeralda, who he soon did convince that he is not an actual astronaut.
“Always lie to your children,” Kimmel said with a laugh.
In the movie, the 37-year-old actor plays the role of Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon. The story delves into the real-life stresses of the achievement at the time, as Americans tried to get to the moon before the Russians.
