Sandra Bullock is one of the funniest and most put together women in Hollywood— and, despite her fame, she goes through immense heartbreak and trials that puts her emotions to the test, just like the rest of us.
Sandra Bullock visited “The Ellen Show” where she caught up with Ellen DeGeneres about the last few months, which have been particularly difficult for her. First, she lost her father and then, shortly after, she lost both of her beloved dogs.
“You’ve had a rough couple of months and I’m happy that you’re happy and that things are good,” Ellen said to Sandra as they chatted.
“Life happens whether you schedule it or not, which really blew my mind this year,” Sandra responded. “My dad died, and while my dad was failing, we get a call from the nanny that our dog Ruby, the two-legger, had a stroke.”
Sandra said she requested that the dog be put on life support or taken into surgery to fix the issue— but it was too late. She then flew home from being with her dad only to get the call that his condition was worsening. As she received that heartbreaking news, she learned that her other dog had a heart tumor.
“A week later I’m in the bathtub crying,” Sandra said.
Regardless, Sandra is continuing to spread joy to others this season by making a $100,000 donation to the Humane Society, as well as a $400,000 to Red Cross.
