From the moment that Selma Blair announced that she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, it was evident that the actress was going to speak her truth throughout her entire journey.

“I feel sick as all hell,” Blair wrote on her Instagram page on Friday (May 3) alongside a picture of her sick in bed. “I am vomiting and all the things which are not polite to speak of. My son ran away. From me. I have to get him to school. The medical treatments take their toll. I am going to get through this. We do. This will pass. And to moms and dads who watch their kids sick on things we want them to take to get better… I hold you. So glad this is me and not my child. I cannot imagine ever feeling ok again. But it’s still morning. We get through.”

The very next day, Blair showed that despite her illness, she remains quite the warrior.

“I cleaned up,” she wrote. “I went out. I got sick. I ran into Sharon Stone and felt comforted. She is wise and beautiful . Thank you.  Show up and things happen.”

Since opening up about her diagnosis back in October, Blair has dealt with a long list of side affects of her disease, including exhaustion to voice spasms to having difficulty walking, which causes her to now use a cane.
