Shark Tank’s Kevin O’Leary’s wife, Linda O’Leary, had been charged in the fatal boat crash that killed two people on Lake Joseph in Canada in August.
At the time of the accident, authorities were aware that O’Leary’s boat hit another boat, killing two people. However, at the time, they were unaware of who was driving the boat.
According to various news reports, police in Canada began the investigation following the incident where O’Leary and the other vessel had left the scene.
“Both vessels had left the scene and when they reached the location, both vessels were in touch with ambulance for emergency services,” said Joe Scali, the OPP’s media officer, of the accident. “At this time in the investigation, the OPP is unable to comment on which vessel hit what vessel and that will be determined at the end of the investigation.”

O’Leary released a statement through his agent Jay Sures. “Now that the authorities have concluded their thorough investigation, I have no further comment other than to say that our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of those who lost loved ones in this awful tragedy. Our hearts go out to them.”
According to TMZ, Linda could receive a maximum sentence of 18 months in jail or a $1 million fine.
