Kylie Jenner Shared Why She Chose Baby Stormi’s Name and, Shockingly Enough, It’s Pretty Straightforward

The Kardashian-Jenner family is known for choosing some interesting names for their kids, and new mom (and youngest of the K-J fam) Kylie Jenner is no exception.

Kylie and her boyfriend, Travis Scott, recently welcomed their daughter Stormi into the world— and while her name is obviously unique, the meaning behind it is pretty simple. Like, there’s almost no meaning at all.

Kylie was interviewed by her big sis Kim Kardashian for Evening Standard Magazine where they discussed motherhood, business and what it was like to grow up being famous. In the interview, Kylie shared how she and Travis came up with baby Stormi’s name.

“I really don’t know how we thought of Storm. Her dad insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us. And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name. So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck. I feel like there were a lot of other names that I might have even liked better, to be honest, but I feel like Stormi picked her own name, like it was just her name.”

There you have it, folks: Stormi picked her own name, and it was just her name.
