We’ve all found ourselves sick in bed, praying for a remedy to ease our troubles. But when that happens have you ever considered drinking your sister’s breast milk?
We have not.
But recently, actress Tamera Mowry-Housley did just that as she was battling an illness, and determined that her sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict’s breast milk just might hit the spot. What?
“Soooo, my sister is desperate for some healing,” Tia wrote on her Instagram page alongside a video of her sister holding up the cup that held the breast milk. “She’s sicky poo and I sent her an article on how breast milk has healing properties and was okay with drinking my breast milk. Ps, she’s had some before and I mean, she’s my twin. Here’s what she had to say.”

“My gosh Tia, this is amazing. Your breast mild is the best breast milk I’ve ever tried in my life,” Tamera said in the video after trying the milk.
Tamera then posted the same video with a message on it’s healing abilities. “Well, I do feel better,” she wrote.

The two, who appeared alongside one another on the television series Sister, Sister, have long been close. But is this taking it too far?
The jury remains out on that one.
“Human breast milk [is] designed to nourish babies — not grown [adults],” dietitian and nutritionist Elisa Zied said in an interview. “Bottom line: I find the idea of an adult using human breast milk for health benefits unsubstantiated by science.”
Tia welcomed a baby girl in May of 2018.
