As a seventeen-year-old teen, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia should be spending time with friends and enjoying her last year of high school before leaving for college.
Yet instead, she is fighting to keep her father in the United States.
“My father is no threat to society he is one of the most warm-hearted people I know, he would never harm a soul,” Gia wrote on her Instagram page on Sunday (Oct. 14) alongside an old picture of her and her father. “He puts everyone else before himself. I know who my father is and I think many of you do too. My father did his time and learned from his mistakes.”

Some of those mistakes stem from mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud in which Joe Giudice is now serving out a 41-month prison sentence. After that sentence concludes in March, he is scheduled for deportation to his native Italy but does have 30 days to appeal the immigration court’s ruling.
And it’s this scheduled deportation that has seemingly broken the heart of Gia.
“We have so many plans to do as a family when he gets out,” she wrote. “I need my father to be here. My father belongs with us and his entire family.”
