After comments T.I. made about his daughter hit the airwaves, woman… and men were in an uproar about his actions.

The rapper/actor revealed in the podcast Ladies Like Us, the shocking news about his daughter Deyjah Harris, that he accompanies her to her annual gynecological exam to make sure that her hymen is still intact.

What? That’s right, the father of six, wants to make sure his 18-year-old daughter is still a virgin.

“I will say as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact,” T.I. said on the podcast. “Deyjah’s 18, just graduated high school now and she’s attending her first year of college, figuring it out for herself. And yes, not only have we had the conversation [about sex], we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen.”

He continued, “So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism,” he added. “He’s like, ‘Well, you know sir, I have to, in order to share information’ — I’m like, ‘Deyjah, they want you to sign this… so we can share information. Is there anything you would not want me to know?’ ‘See doc? No problem.’”

Nevermind the fact that there are several others ways, besides sex, that the hymen can be broken, something that the doctor apparently shared with T.I. But that didn’t faze him.

“So then they come and say, ‘Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity,’” T.I. explained. “So I say, ‘Look doc, she don’t ride no horses, she don’t ride no bike, she don’t play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.’”

The Twittersphere was lit up with comments after the podcast was revealed, including some celebrities such as Ellen Barkin, Tatum O’Neal and Chrissy Tiegen.

“I have bad news for T.I. After 6 months of vaginal sex…my hyman broke,” wrote Ellen.

#ti Absolutely wrong and disgusting. Shame on him,” wrote Tatum.

“def did not think we would be talking about hymens today. or TI,” shared Chrissy.

“see, this why men shouldn’t be responsible for our bodies,” @sevenjaderoses commented.

“the TI stuff is abusive, full stop. an adult woman, daughter or wife or ANYONE, does not owe sex to anyone and she does not owe disclosure of her sexual activity to anyone. this is controlling behavior and anyone who has been in an abusive relationship/family knows it,” tweeted @modernistwitch.

“In other news: TI is a creepy man and doesn’t understand how a hymen works,” added @BostonEllie.

To each his own, right?
