The Bachelorette’s Chad Johnson Arrested for Domestic Violence

It looks like JoJo Fletcher from season 12 of The Bachelorette made some solid choices when she eliminated Chad Johnson from the line-up of bachelors. The 32-year-old has been arrested with domestic violence enhancement charges after an alleged physical altercation with his girlfriend, Annalise Mishler.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department took Chad into custody after Annalise called 911 when the couple got into an argument on Monday (February 24). She also revealed that he had punched a hole in her wall the night before and then “got physical” with her. Red marks on her face were enough evidence for the police to detain Chad who was booked for felony domestic violence as well as an additional charge for robbery after he grabbed her phone.

Annalise had posted a photo on social media of the hole Chad punched into the wall, but also included a video that supposedly shows Johnson screaming outside her door. Those posts have since been removed, however, on February 24, she did tweet, “I hate how sad I am.”

She has now added a thread on Twitter stating that she did not “file a restraining order or ask for charges to be pressed” and that a neighbor had actually called the police. She goes on to say, “I’ve been awake for 48 hours, anxious, feeling built and sadness. Nothing about this feels right to me. i can’t seem to figure out how to shake this nonstop justification in my head…I’m not saying this to perpetuate the idea that what happened is okay, but that’s just the reality. Truthfully, I don’t think I’d ever be strong enough, because I’ll justify the behavior of someone I love endlessly. And that’s a fatal flaw, I know, but it’s the truth.”
