14-Year-Old “America’s Got Talent” Contestant Courtney Hadwin Speaks Out While Controversy Continues

“America’s Got Talent” golden buzzer winner Courtney Hadwin has been riding quite the ride to success as of late. Still beaming over her performance last Tuesday (Aug. 14) of James Brown’s “Papa Got a Brand New Bag,” the 14-year-old soul singer headed to her Instagram page to thank fans for all of their support.

“Performing at the Dolby Theatre was just out of this world,” she wrote on Sun (Aug. 19) alongside a pic of her dynamic performance. “Can not wait to come back. Thank you again for all the support.”

The Instagram post comes at an interesting time for the singer, who has found herself in the middle of a bit of AGT controversy as of late as news flew about how this is not actually her first singing competition. Come to find out that she landed in the top 6 of “The Voice Kids UK” just last year. The supposed shy girl has also played “Cosette” in a production of “Les Miserables.”

And while it is not against any rules for her to perform on both shows, many fans were a tad upset when they found out that her storyline was a bit more involved than what had been revealed on the show thus far.

Heck, judge Simon Cowell could have at least mentioned that, couldn’t he have?
