ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” is taking a hiatus. According to E! News, the show will not be airing in Spring of 2019 as normal but is “expected” to return in Fall of 2019.
Fans will recall that the show switched things up over the last year by doing an all-athletes cast in Spring of 2018, followed by the regular season in the fall. News of the show’s break comes after a controversial season on the show when Bobby Bones was crowned the champion, a decision that left many fans outraged due to the fact that Bones had lower scores than other competitors.
After his win, Bobby Bones admitted even he was surprised. “I apologized so many times to [Sharna] for getting stuck with me because she’s so good and talented. … It didn’t make sense, but she stuck with me,” he told reporters after receiving the coveted mirror ball trophy.
Don’t fret, though— you can still get your dose of Carrie Ann Inaba as she joins the cast of The Talk in January of 2019, taking the spot of Julie Chen.
