She may have won season 12 of “America’s Got Talent,” but Darci Lynne Farmer is back for a return visit to “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.”
Darci, a 14-year ventriloquist, and her pal Oscar won the show when she was 12 years old and now she’s trying for the world champion title. The reality television series “America’s Got Talent” created a spinoff that features past winners, finalists and successful contestants from previous seasons along with acts from the AGT franchises worldwide.
In the premiere episode, Susan Boyle, who placed second on “Britain’s Got Talent,” returned for the champion round with a performance of “Wild Horses,” featured on her debut album I Dreamed a Dream.

With the second episode of “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” set to air on January 14, the competition series leaked a video of Darci’s performance. In the clip, judge Mel B asks why the young performer wanted return to the show after her win.
“I always love a good competition but I missed being on ‘AGT’ and maybe having a chance to have the world champion title just seems awesome,” Darci said.
After cracking a few jokes and asking her pal Oscar about his love life, the two broke into a medley of “Nutbush City Limits” and “Proud Mary.” The crowd was on their feet, dancing and clapping along, and the young entertainer earned a standing ovation from the judges.
With all the champions returning for the new season, it’s gonna be hard to pick who should win overall. However, Darci Lynne proved why she is already a champion.
You can catch the rest of the performances when “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” airs on Monday, January 14 on NBC.
