It’s a New Year, and a seemingly new way of doing things for Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans.
According to E! News, Evans is in the process of dropping the restraining order against her estranged husband David Eason. Court documents show that she filed a Notice of Voluntary Dismissal in Tennessee on Monday (Jan. 13,) citing that their scheduled court hearing should be cancelled.
“This was filed today, but the judge hasn’t signed off on this yet, so for now it’s still in place,” Davidson County Circuit Court confirmed to the media outlet.
If true, this is a huge move by Evans, who split from Eason back in October after months of alleged abuse. In fact, dropping the restraining order would essentially mean that Eason would once again be allowed to see their daughter Ensley again. Fans will recall that Evans herself temporarily lost custody of her own kids last year after Eason killed the family dog. The incident even caused Evans to be fired from Teen Mom 2.
But things seem to now be looking up for Evans, who has been seen on social media looking happy and healthier than ever before.
“Sometimes you have to kind of die inside in order to rise from your own ashes and believe in yourself and love yourself to become a new person,” she wrote back in December on Instagram, citing a quote from Gerard Way.
