The leaderboard changed on Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars and The Office’s Kate Flannery is leading the way.
The 55-year-old actress, who played Meredith Palmer on The Office, has been hanging out in the middle of the pack since the show began three weeks ago. But Monday night saw the actress break out of that role and nail the Quickstep to Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5.”
The theme of the night was movie night. Kate donned a short haired curly wig, reminiscent of Jane Fonda’s character, Judy Bernly, in the movie 9 to 5 as she took over the dance floor.
As the dance came to an end, the judges showed their approval of the dance with their scores and their comments.
“Kate you are killing this game,” Carrie Ann Inaba said following the electric dance. “I mean my goodness, that is so precise. Absolutely synchronized. Every bit of it just like so good. You are working hard and it is paying off.
“I really really liked it. I liked your choreography. I liked your performance, you got right into character” Len Goodman told Kate. “Great”
Bruno Tonioli jumped out of his seat to relay his comments. “Like the movie, this is a big hit,” he shouted.
The comments of the judges resulted in 8’s across the board (out of 10), giving Kate a total of 24 points out of 30, placing her at the top of the leaderboard in a tie with Ally Brooke.
“I’ve never felt sexier in my life,” Kate replied.
Dancing with the Stars airs Monday night on ABC.
