With all of the reboots and remakes happening, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by anything anymore– but I have to admit, this news shocked me a little.

Kate Gosselin, you might remember from TLC’s hit shows “Jon and Kate Plus 8” and “Kate Plus 8,” is officially coming back to TLC for an all-new series called “Kate Plus Date.”

Yes, really.

If you remember, Kate and Jon divorced in 2009, which turned “Jon and Kate Plus 8” to just “Kate Plus 8.” Now, according to Today, this new series will follow Kate as she searches for love, all whilst still being a mom to her eight kids.

Granted, it’ll likely be nothing compared to what we saw when the kids were young– 17-year-old twins Mady and Cara are now heading off to college, but we’ll still get a glimpse at five of the 13-year-old sextuplets: Joel, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, and Leah. Collin, who has special needs, is reportedly in a program outside of the home.

“It was very apparent, now that (the kids) are older and talking about dating and how they’re all gonna get married someday,” Gosselin told People of the new series. “It became apparent: they want someone for me,” Gosselin said. “They want me to have somebody in my life.”

“I’m nervous, I’m excited and I’m forcing myself to do this,” Gosselin said.

The show is reportedly set to air on TLC this fall, and we can’t wait to hear more.
