In the latest reveal on the FOX competition series, The Masked Singer, the Butterfly was the next to go.

Wednesday night (Dec. 4), The Masked Singer eliminated it’s latest character after a couple of epic battles. It’s coming down to the best of the best, with the eliminations becoming harder and harder. Right off the bat, Wednesday’s battlers came out swinging with the Butterfly facing off against the Fox. While the Butterfly sang a rousing rendition of Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry,” the Fox slowed things down with Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey.”

In the end, the Fox won the votes and the Butterfly was headed to the smackdown round. But who would the Butterfly face off against.

The second battle saw Thingamajig go head to head with the Tree. Thingamjig kicked it off with a fun rendition of Michael Buble’s “Haven’t Met You Yet” and the Tree nailed Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Needless to say, the Tree beat out Thingamajig, sending him to the smackdown against the Butterfly. Still following?

It came down to the Butterfly vs. Thingamajig. Who would be going home? Butterfly kicked off the epic smackdown with a stunning version of Imagine Dragons “Believer,” only to lose to the Thingamjig’s version of Usher’s “Caught Up.” The audience voted to save Thingamajig.

It was then time to reveal who was under the Butterfly’s voice. The panelists had many guesses, with three of the five judges agreeing on Michelle Williams. Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke all said it was Michelle, while Ken Jeong guessed Spice Girls’ Mel B and guest panelist Joel McHale guessed Spice Girls’ Victoria Beckham.

The majority was right! The Butterfly was none other than former Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams.

“It was a beautiful experience. Yes, I’ve been on big stages but for me personally this was something for me to know, like, ‘no you got this.” What a confidence builder,” Michelle said of her time on The Masked Singer.
