Selena Gomez says she is excited to be back in the limelight.
However, the limelight still has a way of making the strongest people cave, even if only for a moment. And that’s indeed what seemed to have happened to Gomez right before her opening performance on the American Music Awards Sunday (Nov. 24.)
According to E! News, a source says that Gomez suffered a panic attack in the minutes leading to her much anticipated performance of her songs “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now.”
“Selena definitely had anxiety and a panic attack before she went out and was putting a lot of pressure on herself,” the source said regarding the performance, which was the first time she has performed on stage in two years.
It was, in fact, a bit of a shaky performance from the superstar, who seemed to be overwhelmed with emotion throughout the performance. However, later in the show, Gomez was seen out in the audience, sitting next to her friend Taylor Swift’s parents and singing her little heart out. And the very next day, Gomez seemed to be feeling better and excited about her future.
