Motherhood ain’t no joke, and it sounds like funny woman Kristen Wiig is experiencing that first hand right now.
According to various reports, the Saturday Night Live alum and her fiancé Avi Rothman welcomed twins earlier this year via surrogate. While Wiig or Rothman have yet to confirm this news, eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that Wiig herself actually might have broken the news back in May when she served as a host on the Mother’s Day episode of Saturday Night Live.

“This is the Mother’s Day show, and at SNL, it’s a very special time to celebrate moms,” Wiig said. “Unfortunately, probably like a lot of you, I can’t be with my mom on this Mother’s Day. So I hope it’s OK, I would like to tell her I love her. I don’t know if I truly appreciated my mom the first 45 years of my life. But this year I’m feeling especially grateful for her advice, her love. I’m so thankful for all the things she’s taught me, like preparing to be a mom myself.”
Fans will recall that Wiig and Rothman got engaged last year after dating since 2016.

And yes, Rothman also has acting and comedy in his blood, having trained at the Groundlings Theatre in Los Angeles. Rothman is Wiig’s second husband – she was previously married to actor Hayes Hargrove from 2005-2009.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
