“Stranger Things” Season 3 Reveals Premiere Date and Summer Will Never Be The Same

In a clever video, Netflix has revealed the premiere date of season 3 of their popular sci-fi hit, “Stranger Things.”

The video opens on New Year’s Eve in 1984, the decade in which the show take place. As the New York apple descends to mark the new year (1985), the television cuts to the test pattern.

The words “One Summer Can Change Everything…” appear on the screen. It then changes to the date July 4, 1985 before changing from green to red when the date of July 4, 2019 reveals when season 3 will premiere. Well done, Netflix!

It’s going to be a wild summer as we return to Hawkins for some more drama. The main cast, including Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), David Harbour (Chief Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Caleb McLauglin (Lucas Sinclair), Charlie Heaton (Jonathon Byers), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) and Gaten Matarzzo (Dustin Henderson).

There will be a few new faces coming to Hawkins in the new season.  Cary Elwes (Princess Bride) will join the cast as Mayor Kleine, a slick male politician who only looks out for himself. Jake Busey is also joining as Bruce, described as a “morally compromised” news reporter in his 50s. And Maya Thurman-Hawke (Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke’s daughter) is added as Robin, someone will reveal a “dark secret” in Hawkins.

Season 3 is sure to answer some questions and then again, leave us with more. But either way, summer can’t get here fast enough. Happy fourth!
