Say it ain’t so! The USA Network hit series Suits has announced that they will be ending the show after it’s ninth season.

While the network took to social media to share good news, they also threw in the bad news with their one post. The good news, Suits is being renewed. The bad news, it’s the last season.

#Suits has been renewed! Join us for the ninth and final season of Suits, later this year,” the network posted on Instagram.

Suits has played an instrumental role in our network’s DNA for nearly a decade,” Chris McCumber, President, USA Network and SYFY, said in a statement. “I and everyone at USA Network sincerely thank Aaron Korsh, our partners at UCP and the entire Suits family for their tremendous creativity, devotion and support over a truly amazing run.”

The hit show began in 2011, taking place at fictional New York law firm Pearson Hardman. Gabriel Macht (Harvey Specter), Gina Torres (Jessica Pearson), Patrick J. Adams (Mike Ross), Meghan Markle (Rachel Zane), Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt) and Sarah Rafferty (Donna Paulson) made up the original cast. Over the years Gina Torres, Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle departed the show. Meghan left to marry Prince Harry and become the Duchess of Sussex.

Suits will return with the second half of season 8 on Jan. 23. According to E! News, a spinoff series called Pearson, starring Gina Torres, is in the works.
