The star of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop,” Tarek El Moussa, is going out on his own. Tarek will be filming his own show, yet to be titled, to premiere in 2019 . That’s not all. The father of two will also film a separate digital series to air this summer on HGTV.com.
According to People, the HGTV television show will follow Tarek as he mentors rookie house flippers and helps them renovate homes for a profit.
“From start to finish, I’m giving these first-time flippers everything they need to score a profitable deal and not a bank-breaking flop,” El Moussa said in a statement.
The 37-year-old took to Instagram to share his excitement and thank his fans for making his dreams come true.
“Did you hear!!!???!!!,” he wrote. “this is because of YOU, yes YOU in the mirror😊. Every single one of you!! Without your support this would not be possible!! So…from the bottom of my ❤️❤️❤️ heart….thank you so much!!!!! It feels good to know you make others feel good so know that I’m feeling really good because of you 😊😊😊. You ALL made my day!!!! In addition, the new digital series on HGTV.com will follow Tarek’s life as a single dad. According to a statement, “fans can watch Tarek as he works hard, plays hard and then goes home to spend quality time with his kids.”
Tarek was married to his “Flip or Flop” co-star Christina El Moussa when they began the show in 2013. They share two children Brayden (3) and Taylor (8). The two have since divorced, Christina married Wheeler Dealer host Ant Anstead before Christmas, but continue to film their show. “Flip or Flop.” The new season 8 will begin airing in the Fall.
