Everything You Need to Know About FOX’s “The Masked Singer”

In case you haven’t noticed, FOX has a certified hit courtesy of the new blockbuster hit show, The Masked Singer. The premiere of the show just a few weeks back drew in over 15 million viewers, which is unheard of these days in the ever-crowded media landscape.

So were you one of those millions? If not, no worries. There is still time to hop on the bandwagon. But in order to tune into the show and not think you have entered some sort of crazy atmosphere, it’s a good idea to do your research.

And lucky for you, we have already done your research for you.

The Hosts

The Masked Singer is hosted by Nick Cannon, who used to host another reality competition show called America’s Got Talent. Joining him is a panel of celebrities such as Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke.

How It Works

On the show, celebrities square off in a singing competition with a twist – they wear these crazy amazing costumes while doing it, so their identity is concealed, that is until they get voted off the show. There are lions and deers, peacocks and unicorns – you just never know who is going to show up.

Of course, to wet viewer’s appetites, the panelists will ask a series of questions to see if they can get clues as to who the secret celebrity is. The celebrity can be just about anyone, from singers to athletes to comedians. You just never can tell, literally.

During each show, one singer is eliminated and finally reveal their true identity. So far, two of the 12 celebrity singers have been revealed, including the Hippo, a.k.a. NFL player Antonio Brown, and the Pineapple, a.k.a. Tommy Chong.

When To Watch

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Fox.

Now, we know what you are saying – this might be a little too odd for your taste. We get it. But we ask you to give it ten minutes, and we pretty much guarantee that you will be hooked.
