Actor Zach Roerig is currently not studying for a role right now, but instead, he is preparing for his arraignment Thursday (June 4) after he was arrested over the weekend.
The Vampire Diaries star was pulled over in the early morning hours of Sunday (May 31) in his hometown of Montpelier, Ohio and arrested and charged with OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired), according to People. OVI is also known as DUI. Roerig was originally pulled over due to not having a front license plate, according to a spokesperson.

Roerig was charged with a misdemeanor of the first degree and was released to a sober individual.
While Roerig has seen much success within his acting career via shows not only in the Vampire Diaries, but also the shows Legacies and the teen drama Dare Me, he also has seen his share of troubles personally.
In 2013, he was in a custody battle with an incarcerated woman over their shared daughter, who was born in 2011.
“For me, not only has The Vampire Diaries been the longest job I’ve ever had, but it’s been a quarter of my life,” Roerig told Entertainment Weekly in an interview back in 2017. “I became a parent doing this job. It’s been a very healing process. We all started this show, almost all of us, in the midst of some sort of life turmoil, whatever it may have been. And somehow through these eight years we’ve patched ourselves up and are now ready to face the world again.”
