Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute are apologizing to former cast member, Faith Stowers, for their horrible treatment, after Faith called them out.

The duo took to Instagram to share images of their written statement regarding racial issues and an apology to heir African American castmate, Stowers.

“Racially insensitive comments from my past have resurfaced. It is important that I continue to tak accountability for what I have said and done, while pushing myself to do better,” Stassi began her post before sharing that she has “grown significantly” since then.

“I also want to address my former castmate, Faith Stowers. My emotions over something that happened between our friends outweighed my logic and there is no excuse for that. I did not recognize then the serious ramifications that could have transpired because of my actions.

“What I did to Faith was wrong,” she added. “I apologize and I do not expect forgiveness. I am also sorry to anyone else that feels disappointed in me.”

Stassic concluded by saying that she will take a closer look at herself and actions, “to take the time to listen, to learn, and to take accountability for my privilege.”

At the same time Kristen Doute took to her Instagram page to share her message.

“I have been taking some time to really process what I’ve been seeing, feeling and learning. And I need to address something specifically that happened a few years ago with my former castmate, Faith Stowers. Although, my actions were not racially driven, I am now completely aware of how my privilege blinded me from the reality of law enforcement’s treatment of the black community, and how dangerous my actions could have been to her. It was never my intention to add to the injustice and imbalance.”

She concluded by saying, “I am ashamed, embarrassed, and incredibly sorry. I will do better. I have to do better.”

During an Instagram Live with MTV’s Candace Renee Rice, Stowers was asked about her time on Vanderpump Rules. That’s when she revealed the treatment she endured from Schroeder and Doute when they decided to call the police on her after.

According to Stowers, both Schroeder and Doute wanted to come after Stowers verbally, when she cheated with their friend Jax Taylor while he was dating his now wife Brittany Cartwright.  So when a photo of an African American woman, who was robbing people, came out, the two girls called the police and said that it was Stowers.

“I believe it hit the ceiling for me, and made me really want to run for the hills, when Kristen and Stassi decided they were going to call the cops on me,” Faith shared. “This is when I quit—like, I left the show. I was invited back to tell my truth, but decided it wasn’t going to do anything for me. So, I ended up not coming back, so I decided to go over to MTV. Once I did that, I felt like they got upset with me.”

“They thought it was me because it was a black woman with a weave,” Stowers continued. “So they just assumed it would be me and they called the cops on me. And it didn’t work so they were upset about that. So they said, “she’s military, she’s awol. The Military is looking for her so get her that way. No. I was actually honorably discharged and I have that paper work and I showed that as well online. I was upset that they were trying every avenue.”

And old Tweet of Kristen’s corroborates Stowers’ story.

As a result of Stowers speaking out, some brands such as Secret Deodorant, Billie and vitamin company Ritual have decided to cut ties with Stassi.
