“(Kevin is looking) forward to resolving this case favorably and believe that the case will be resolved in that manner so that my client can enter into his Sophomore year of college with no distractions,” Kevin Jr.’s attorney Ray Hamlin tells People magazine.

Fans will recall that an incident took place on May 21 between Kevin Jr. and his father Kevin Hunter, an altercation that was so serious that the cops were called. Various sources say the altercation had to do with Hunter’s divorce from Williams. Williams filed for divorce from her husband back in April.

Kevin Jr. will now return to court on July 9.

While this whole situation has to be weighing heavily on Williams’ heart, sources say that the talk show powerhouse seems stronger than ever.

“She’s taking over her empire,” the source tells People magazine. “She was kept out of the loop a lot. Wendy’s an executive producer on the show as well, but she’s the talent. Kevin was the one doing a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff and being a go-between for her and the show.”
