After much speculation and cheating accusations, Wendy Williams has had enough. The talk show diva has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband of 21 years, Kevin Hunter.
According to Page Six, A source revealed that Wendy served her husband with divorce papers at 6:30 a.m. According to court documents, obtained by Page Six, Williams and Hunter are splitting because of “irreconcilable differences.” Williams, who resides in Livingston, NJ, is seeking to establish an “appropriate amount of child support” as well as “other further relief as the Court deems fair and equitable.”
“There exists irreconcilable differences between the parties which have caused the breakdown of the marriage for a period of six months and which make it appear that the marriage should be dissolved as there is no reasonable prospect of reconciliation,” Williams’ divorce filing states.
“Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time,” Wendy’s representative said in a statement. “Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together.”
The news comes as rumors have been circulating that Kevin was allegedly cheating on Wendy and fathered a child with his mistress. The talk show host even addressed the rumors about her marriage on her talk show upon her return.
“I’m still wearing my ring,” Wendy told her audience. “I am still very much in love with my husband. Anybody who’s been married for 5 minutes or 500 years, you know marriages have ebbs and flows. Marriages are not easy. Don’t ask me about mine until you see this [ring] gone and it ain’t going anywhere—not in this lifetime.”
