Dale Earnhardt Jr. Made A Video To Thank His Fans As His Final Season Comes To An End


As the 2017 NASCAR season comes to a close so also does the storied racing career of Dale Earnhardt Jr. After a lingering concussion last season, Earnhardt made the decision to take one final lap before stepping out from behind the wheel. He released a video yesterday to thank his fans and the friends he has made along the way.

“The friendships that I’ve made will live beyond the time spent in the garage together.

To my fans, I don’t think that anything in my career has meant more to me than Jr. Nation.

I hope you guys are as proud as I am.”

Earnhardt, 42, is a14-time Most Popular Driver and has won 26 times in 603 starts over a 19 year career. Though he is stepping out from behind the wheel, Earnhardt will stay heavily involved in the sport he grew up around. Fans will still have a chance to watch Earnhardt race two final times in the NASCAR XFinity Series in 2018.
