Florida just got snow for the first time in thirty years. It’s a really shocking turn of events for a state that has suffered any and every type of storm this year. But if you are imagining snow-covered roads, snowball fights, and a general winter wonderland, think again. By most accounts (even in the South) Florida was lightly frosted. But that didn’t stop Floridians from freaking out.
Schools closed before the snow began to fall and roads remained wet for almost a day. Tough times, tough times.
But it wasn’t just the schools. The whole state lost their minds.
Yeah, I don’t get it.
People responded with real fear.
Just look at that poor boy wearing tennis shoes and a hoodie.
Truth: he still has never seen snow.
BUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN TO THEIR SANDALS!?
Oh, LORDT! THE SANDALS!
If you look very closely, you can see snow on the ground.
Are you sure those aren’t moths?
Me trying to see the snow
You need to scrape that frost off your car and get to work.
Florida snow, aka “light jacket weather”
But wet, even icy patches can be treacherous to drivers who have never driven on the before.
The actual truth. Watch yourself out there, Florida.
